Operational Budget for Pollee Co-op Federal Electorate.
What the 55 cents adds up to
A forecast of deposit revenue for an average Australian federal seat, state seat and local council, split the way the Democracy Now paper splits every 55c vote. All figures are Australian dollars, gross, before any costs.
Adjust the assumptions
Membership grows in a straight line from zero at launch to the chosen share at month 12. Every member votes at the chosen monthly rate.

How this is calculated
The split. Each vote is a 55c deposit: 30c to the Infomarian who hosted the discussion, 10c to the constituency association, 10c to Pollee Inc, and 5c GST. The paper gives the GST as five cents; it is exactly one eleventh of 55c. The drip sends a share of the constituency's 10c to its Constituency Fund, the interest-free pool that lends the deposit to members who cannot pay.
Seat sizes. The Australian Electoral Commission's roll held 18,367,806 electors at 30 June 2026. A federal seat is that roll divided by 150 divisions (about 122,450 electors). A state seat divides it by 465 lower-house seats across the eight states and territories (about 39,500). A local council divides it by 538 councils (about 34,100). These are means. Real councils range from a few hundred electors to over a million, so a typical small council earns far less than the figure shown.
What is not included. Optional tips to Infomarians, bank and payment costs, Infomarian running costs, tax on income, and any change in the fee. Pollee Inc's 10c is revenue, not profit. Membership and voting rates are assumptions for you to adjust, not observed data. Dollar figures are rounded, so recipients can differ from the total by a dollar.
